The 2007 Oscar-winning Best Actor for his magnificent performance in "The Last King of Scotland," basically shocked the world when he took to the stage to honor nominee Sandra Bullock. Whitaker spoke rather eloquently of Sandra Bullock's gifts as both a woman and an actress. But initially his words couldn't help but be overshadowed by the weight loss images of his new, slimmed down appearance.
Adding to the shock value and mystique of Forest Whitaker's weight loss success on display in such a grand setting was the fact that the actor was sporting a thick, large pair of black eyeglasses. This look enhanced his face in appearing even smaller and thinner. A few years ago, Forest Whitaker first spoke about hard work and exercise in losing weight for the cop drama, The Shield.
This month, you'll have the chance to see Forest Whitaker smaller than ever on the big screen in the release of the film, Repo Men. Forest stars with Jude Law in the story about a futuristic society in which people can extend their lives by purchasing mechanical organizations from a dominant corporation known as The Union. However, if people fall behind on the payments, their life-saving organs get repossessed by the characters played by Jude Law and Forest Whitaker.
